Estonia’s own rubber industry, the glorious beginning of which began with the initiative of engineer H. Feldmann in
the 1930s, has gone through a glorious history. The technology and reputation that was once more valued than the Finnish Nokia has seen wars and revolutions, various ups and downs of Estonia and the Soviet Union. Heroic
deeds and daily routine.

Production starting from rubber hoses, rubberized
fabrics, and gas-tight fabrics has gone through hoops. There are probably no other design brands in Estonia - i.e.,
Three Spruces, which would have to that extent been soaked in mud and smeared with muddy water over the
years. Our own people’s favorites - galoshes - are produced here in the Põhjala factory at Marati Street 5.
